Spring 2010 marks an all-time high enrollment for Midland College. According to the office of enrollment management, the current spring total, combined with enrollment from fall flex entry courses (courses that begin after the regular fall semester started) and the winter interim session in December/January, means that MC enrollment for the spring reporting period totals 6,982.</description>

MC honored that endeavor when Claudia Hinds, assistant professor of biology, and Valerie Steiner, professor and interim director of the associate degree nursing program, were named this year&apos;s TEA winners on Jan.</description>

Midland College consisted of 5,340 students in 2008 with 4,503 freshmen and 837 sophomores, according to Tom Corll, MC&apos;s director of institutional effectiveness and planning.&lt;br /&gt;

&quot;The number of freshmen and sophomore at MC during the 2008 school year is close to the number of students for the 2009-2010 school year,&quot; Corll said.</description>
